Greeting from Matthias Mieves (MdB, Member of the Bundestag for the West Palatinate) on the opening of the first LillianCare practice on 13.03.2024

Dear Mr. Drop, dear guests, dear employees,

In many rural regions of our country, we face a major challenge, namely ensuring medical care. To solve this problem, innovative solutions and the courage to take new paths are needed.

With your concept, you prove that it is possible to rethink medical care. Your initiative integrates Medical Assistants more closely into the treatment process. This allows limited physician resources to be utilised more efficiently. This is groundbreaking. However, it only works if the potentials of digital technologies are better utilized.

To make this easier for practices like yours, the coalition government has developed the Digital Healthcare Act, which was passed in December 2023. The Act and you show that digitization in healthcare is not just a buzzword, but can actually improve lives in a very concrete way.

LillianCare has also been inspired by experiences from Scandinavian countries. This emphasizes that we can learn from international best practice examples and must adapt these insights to our needs. My recent visits to Estonia and Finland have once again shown me that we must constantly work on innovative solutions. Only then will we make our healthcare system fit for the future.

I wish you all the best and much success for your work. Thank you for listening and enjoy the celebration!
